What this does

We select personality traits on a spectrum between two polar opposites. We use these personality traits to “steer” character responses in a debate between characters driven by differing AI models.

Personality Traits as Represented by “Poles”

  1. First, the default AI model is asked to choose poles that will represent the characters the user has selected for the discussion.
  2. Next, each character is assigned an AI model to drive the character.
  3. The AI model chosen for the character is asked to generate an assessment for the character (to evaluate where it would “score” the character) on the two ends of the pole for the given personality trait.
  4. The character is ready to join the roundtable discussion.

Discussion Mode and Discussion Topic

  1. The User adds a discussion topic.
  2. The User selects “Deep Dive” or “Debate” mode, depending on whether they want to see the characters come to a collaborative single conclusion, or to watch how different characters embody different perspectives.
  3. By default, the characters will start off the first round addressing the main discussion topic.
  4. The User clicks on “Send question & continue”, and the Discussion beginss!

Note: Even in “debate” mode, characters are encouraged to be respectful and collaborative.
